Jack’s Pit Viper Tape

The short version

This is a personal project, not a business. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no contact forms, and nothing you type here is sent to me. I don’t know who you are and I’m not trying to find out.

What gets measured

The site counts page views, and which tape you pressed play on, using Vercel Web Analytics and Umami. Both are privacy-focused: they don’t set advertising cookies and they don’t build a profile of you. What I see is aggregate numbers — “this many people played the Pit Viper tape” — never individuals.

Things loaded from other companies

Some parts of the site are served by others, and your browser talks to them directly. That means they can see your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their own policies, not mine:

· Google Fonts, for the lettering.
· YouTube and Vimeo, when a tape plays an embedded video.
· Cloudflare, which hosts the video files.

Home Video

If you dub your own video, a link you paste is handed to YouTube or Vimeo to play. A file you pick from your device is opened by your browser and never leaves your computer — it isn’t uploaded here or anywhere else.

Donations

The donate link goes to GrassrootZ, who handle the fundraiser for the We Run Foundation. Anything you enter there is covered by their privacy policy. No payment ever passes through this site.

Use it, enjoy it

This site is a personal creative project, free to use, provided as it is. I’ve tried to make it work everywhere, but I can’t promise it will — and I’m not liable if something goes wrong on your end. Don’t try to break it, overload it, or pass it off as your own.

Home Video

The dubbing feature plays video you choose. You’re responsible for what you load and for having the right to watch it. Nothing you dub is stored, hosted or transmitted by this site, and I have no control over what YouTube or Vimeo serve you.

Who owns what

The film, the writing and this site are mine. Pit Viper, its name and its logo belong to Pit Viper. This site is an independent sponsorship pitch made by a fan — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced in partnership with Pit Viper, and nothing here should be read as a statement on their behalf.

Links and donations

Links point to sites I don’t run and can’t vouch for. Donations are collected by GrassrootZ for the We Run Foundation — this site takes no money and processes no payments.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in New York. If you live somewhere that gives you stronger consumer protections, this doesn’t take them away from you.
